A follow-up on Porsche Carrera GT
Filed Under Porsche | Leave a Comment
The Porsche Carrera GT was designed with large side inlets along with air dams which keeps the large engine of the Porsche cool. The engine frame is made up of fiber carbon which is the rear bonnet of the car.
In terms of looks, it represents the action of a world class sprinter lifting its nose up, squatting down and leaping forward for a sprint down the track. It can storm from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just less than four seconds in the first gear to start off with, 82 mph in the second gear, nearly 115 mph in the third gear and the fourth gear can shoot it up to the top speeds of BMWs, Mercedes-Benzes and Audis.
Incomparable speed, the Porsche Carrera GT can give the Ferrari Enzo a run for its money in terms of speed and cost. It has an ultra-stiff structure and its suspension components are mounted without any kind of rubber isolation giving an extremely well steering precision. When quality speaks louder than words, the Porsche Carrera GT is an ideal example of class, beauty and finesse.

An overview of the Porsche 997
Filed Under Porsche | Leave a Comment
Porsche 997 is the latest sports car manufactured by Porsche. It is a lighter, faster and updated version of the 997 turbo.
Due to Jeremy Clarkson’s statement that the design team of Porsche is the laziest, this time they made an honest attempt to change the external styling of their latest model. The interiors have been totally re-invented. Even the controls are all new. The striking difference is the circular headlights with separate indicators. It has a renewed front bumper as well.
You get an adrenaline rush every time you drive it. Its features will drive you crazy. It has lightness in the steering wheels which you will not get in any other car. All convertibles have some pitfalls, as they are heavy and less stiff but 997 can actually make you go till the last mark on your Speedo-meter. Isn’t that cool? You will look no less than Michael Schumacher while driving it.

Porsche Panamera
Filed Under Cars, Porsche | Leave a Comment
The Porsche Panamera is a four-seat, four- door luxury vehicle. It awaits its launch in 2009. It is rear wheel drive and front-engined. Its top versions consist of a four-wheel drive.
There are three optional choices for the Panamera’s engine which will be assured at its launch. These include the 4.8 liter V8 with approximately 405 hp (411 PS, 302 Kw) found in Panamera 4S and Panamera S, the turbocharged 4.8 liter V8 with 500 hp (507 PS, 373 Kw) In Panamera Turbo, and the 3.6 liter with 300 hp (304 PS, 224 Kw) in base Panamera found in the facelifted 2008 model of Cayenne.
The marketing of the Porsche Panamera has been calling it as a “luxury sedan”. However, given the vehicle’s wide rear liftgate, hatchback of five doors, and added trunkroom, the term is not technically accurate. The term ‘sedan’ is used by Porsche, since hatchbacks are not so popular, especially in the U.S. The term ‘sedan’ allows the Panamera to have better competition with perfect sedans such as Maserati Quattroporte and Mercedes Benz S-Class.
