The Harley Davidson XR1200 is based on the XR 750 from the same company. The concept of a street bike based on the version was conceptualized due to the fact that the XR750 won nine of the 26 number one Race Plates. This led to the design of the 2010 Harley-Davidson XR1200. This means that you can expect most of the features you experienced or wanted to experience on the XR750.
There are not much changes in the engine 1200cc Evolution V-Twin. Major changes that one can see on the bike are at the brake disk, exhaust and of course the tires. The tires have been replaced with ones carrying 1.5 split rake fork offset. The front brakes are now twin four pistons with discs of 292 mm that do not take much time to bring the massive machine to a full halt. The exhausts are now twin exhausts on the bike’s right side. They have an upward inclination so that the smoke particles do not irritate anyone. In small, the XR750 has been modified to provide a homely (streetly) version that take care of co-passengers too.
